Right now, I’m 21 days into this 30 day blogging challenge and it’s quite fun. While I’m learning a lot, there are two big things that I noticed have benefited me most so far from writing 21 days in a row.
First, it’s creating a new habit. If you’re not motivated and not used to writing every day, sometimes it’s tiresome to sit down and write. We’ve all had those moments where we dreaded doing homework… you know, that sinking feeling when you have homework you don’t want to do. Writing a blog post is like that sometimes. This challenge has made writing fun. Well, it was fun before, but this it taking it to the next level. The repetition has almost eliminated that dreadful homework feeling. I’m used to it and I enjoy it. Now I can just sit down, hammer out a post and hit publish. It’s great!
Second, my writing is getting a lot faster (and hopefully better). It used to take hours to write a post. I’d have to sit down and think, organize my thoughts, start writing, do it over, second guess my writing, delete it, do it again, and well, you get the idea. Now, I can just sit down and hammer it out. The whole process happens on the fly. My mind is organizing as I type. I make some adjustments, and before I know it, I’m done. Nice huh?
So those are two of the biggest things I’m taking away from this challenge so far. Only nine days to go!
What’s with the photo you ask? Well… if you can’t find a photo that fits your topic, just post one of your cat sticking her tongue out. 🙂
From Aug 6 through Sep 5, I’m participating in The Suitcase Entrepreneur’s 30 Day Blog Challenge. Every day, for the next 30 days, I’ll be posting about a new topic of the day about building my own online business. I’m looking forward to learning new tips and trick for my new blog, Livermore Rocks! So join me on my quest as I take on the 30 Day Blog Challenge. Enjoy -Kirk
