Getting Close with Space Shuttle Discovery
I attempted to watch a Space Shuttle launch three times. Of those I was lucky enough to catch one of Endeavour’s launches at night. It was one of the most incredible things I’ve ever seen. Now the shuttles can be seen in museums like Discovery shown here at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in Washington DC.

International Space Station Over the Bay Area
While camping at Seacliff State Beach in Monterey Bay, the sun was setting over Capitola, CA as the marine layer rolled in. The result was beautiful golden sunbeams lighting the fog as the sun peeked though the mist. With the fog acting like a solar filter, you can actually see a few sunspots dotting the surface of the sun.

Midnight City Commute
During the day, San Francisco’s streets are busy with cars, bicycles and electric scooters. At night the commuters are empty buses and electric skate boards.

San Rafael Swell
A pit stop on Highway 70 near the San Rafael Swell as we make our journey back from a drive around the United States. Perfectly clear with our little travel trailer under the stars. The only sounds are the trucks that roar across the interstate.
